Dr. Christopher Newman, D.O. completed his medical school at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, now named Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2001. He studied General Surgery completing a five year residency at South Pointe Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic Health System and became Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. As a Board Certified Surgeon, Dr. Newman has met the requirements that demonstrate a physician’s exceptional expertise in his specialty.
Dr. Newman continued his surgical training at an accredited residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Doctors Hospital of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Newman then entered private practice offering Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in both Columbus and Mansfield, Ohio, until he relocated to his hometown state of Florida and established a new practice, Florida Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Largo and St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Newman enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, playing guitar, and flying aircraft out of St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport.
